Dr. Moses Mafowosofo (MD, MPH, LMCC, CCFP)

Dr. Maf (MD, MPH, LMCC, CCFP) is the Owner and Medical Director of Belmont Medical Pharmacy and Physiotherapy in Calgary, Alberta. He practices the full scope of Family Medicine with special interests in Emergency Medicine, Pediatrics, Women’s Health, and Chronic Disease Management.

Dr. Maf is a board-certified Family Physician with over 20 years of clinical experience. He began his medical career in Nigeria after earning his Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from the University of Lagos in 2004 and started practicing as a Family Physician in 2005.

During his medical practice in Nigeria, he furthered his education by obtaining a Master of Public Health from the University of Lagos. He also earned a Master of Science in Global Health Policy and Management from the Heller School for Social Policy and Management at Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusetts, USA. During his time at Brandeis University, Dr. Maf gained valuable research experience and co-authored several scholarly articles and publications.

After relocating to Canada in 2012, Dr. Maf worked as a full-service Family Physician in Hudson Bay, Saskatchewan, where he provided care across multiple settings including the primary health care clinic, emergency department, inpatient care, and long-term care facilities. He later practiced at Vineyard Medical Clinic in Seton, Calgary, Alberta, before establishing his current practice in the heart of downtown Calgary.

Dr. Maf is also a Clinical Lecturer in the Department of Family Medicine at the University of Calgary, where he teaches and mentors medical students and family medicine residents.

He is currently accepting new patients at Belmont Medical Pharmacy and Physiotherapy (BMPP) and looks forward to providing comprehensive, compassionate care to individuals and families in the Calgary community.
